NYC - a beautiful life!

For those of us who grew up with the songs of Carole King, watching the musical Beautiful is an immersion back to the days we first heard each of these anthems.

Stephen Sondheim Theater Marquee

I had the supreme gift to watch this play on Broadway recently with my cousin and best friend who was here visiting in New York City.

Lucky for us the production recently opened a new Sunday date - which we quickly gobbled up on Telecharge - and off we were to catch the show at the Stephen Sondheim Theater

Spotlight on Broadway features the theater's history and reconstruction.

We met at the corner of 8th Avenue and 41st Street between both buildings of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC.

From here it was an exhilarating eye-full and sensory overloaded walk through Times Square to get to the Heartland Brewery Chophouse where we grabbed an early dinner before the show.

With an hour to spare, we took a walk around Bryant Park, where booths and the ice rink were already being constructed in anticipation of the cold weather and coming holidays.

Nobody does Christmas Season as spectacularly as New York City!

Happily heading home! Nyt-nyt NYC!
